The Asbestoclear service has been developed to meet a need for builders and tradesman. It is a specialist safe, legal and cost effective Asbestos advice and clearance service. The user can ring the hotline number or go online for advice and to arrange collection. This dedicated national service is managed centrally, enabling a controlled solution for small arisings of asbestos waste.

Asbestos can arise in many forms and the legal definitions can be complex. The type of Asbestos as well as its application will determine how to handle the material. Getting it wrong may lead to prosecution, a fine or even imprisonment. Asbestos can be a dangerous material if not handled correctly, the dust is made up of tiny fibres which, if breathed in, are harmful and may cause damage to the lungs many years after the first exposure.

Asbestoclear is an extremely cost effective service as it can eliminate or manage better the costly fees incurred to hire containers or labour to remove Asbestos, especially when it is only a small amount which needs to be disposed of. For a tradesman, this benefit means that they are able to offer an affordable service to their customer which would otherwise either be dismissed or passed on due to the high costs.

The process...

When Asbestos is discovered it is usually difficult to know what it actually is and what to do with it. Asbestoclear is unique as it offers three levels of service to assist with this:

1.  Some Asbestos containing materials MUST be managed, removed and handled by a contractor licensed by a Health and Safety Executive.  We will advice you of your legal obligations in these instances for surveying, management and, if required, removal.

2. In many cases the builder or tradesman will be advised that they are able to remove the Asbestos themselves safely and legally with one of our unique Asbestos removal kits, which consist of all instructions, personal and respiratory protective equipment and container equipment. When completed trained operatives will come and collect the filled disposal sacks and legally dispose of them.

3. Alternatively if the builder or tradesman is uncomfortable with removing the Asbestos themselves or the job is too large for the individual we will come and dismantle, pack and remove the Asbestos and take it away.
